Overview

This lecture will look at a number of doorways of some of the grander dwelling in Pompeii that have images of the Roman gods and myth in an effort to try and make suggestions about their significance to those that dwelt within but also to passers-by.

Dr Ardle MacMahon has been an Associate Lecturer in Classical Studies for many years and currently supports students in their learning of A229, A330, A340 and A864 and in the past other undergraduate and postgraduate modules.
