We are delighted to announce that after two barren years we plan to hold the next M500 Winter Weekend, the 40th, over 13th – 15th January 2023 at Kents Hill Park Conference Centre Milton Keynes MK7 6BZ
The Weekend price is £230 for M500 members and £235 for non-members. It includes accommodation and all meals from dinner on Friday to lunch on Sunday. For shared accommodation, or the day rate, please e-mail the Winter Weekend Organizer at winter@m500.org.uk.
Groups of new people attending for the first time will receive a group discount. Two new attenders booking together get a £50 discount (£25 each), a group of three £75, and a group of four £100.
The Weekend provides an opportunity to do some recreational mathematics, not module-based, with a friendly group of like-minded people. The relaxed and social approach delivers maths for fun. The following sessions have been included in the past:
- The regular quiz on Saturday.
- A session by our visiting speaker.
- Sessions on Pascal Triangles and / or Figurative numbers, and Symmetries of hypercubes.
