During this one-ho ur session we will \;explore new ways of seeing and making marks and images. Following an artist talk by Tanvi - \;an interdisciplinary ar tist \;based in the South East of England\, the group will discuss wh ere we are in our student journey right now and what we hope to gain.

\n\n

Marks and images are created with lines\, shapes and colours. A de gree of abstraction occurs as we combine our imagination\, hand gestures and materials to create a synthesis of what we see\, notice\, feel and qu estion. As with all Welcome Week events\, both new and returning students are invited to join this session.

\n\n

You will need the fo llowing materials: Paper\, pencils\, pens\, scissors and printed materials such as \;magazines\, junk mail or \;catalogues

Optional additional materials if you have them: Coloured pencils\, fe lt markers\, paints\, brushes and water\, needle and sewing thread and an ything else you think you might like to experiment with.
