The Open Universi ty Geological Society is open to \;everyone \;interested i n geology\, earth and environmental science.

OUGS supports the study of geology and other earth sciences\, planetary sciences and en vironmental studies by providing opportunities for members to learn throu gh field trips\, talks\, conferences and workshops led by experts in thei r fields.

OUGS operates from thirteen \;Branches \;throughout the UK and Europe. Branches are manage d locally to provide a focus for members in a given area\; however\, all OUGS members are always welcome to join events organised by any other Bra nch. \;
