 in OU Environmental Sustainability Society (OUESS) for a talk by OU gradu
 ate and conservation movement founder Lucy Grabe-Watson. Lucy will discus
 s her journey to founding a youth-led conservation organisation\, alongsi
 de insights from working in the environmental sector and how her studies 
 with the Open University influenced this path. She will also give an over
 view of her work to protect ancient woodlands and share practical reflect
 ions on how to start a social impact project.</p>\n\n<p>Lucy Grabe-Watson
  is a youth campaigner\, writer and ecological advocate working at the in
 tersection of woodland protection\, community engagement\, and policy ref
 orm.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;As the founder of&nbsp\;Ancient Woodlands UK\, she lead
 s a national movement to safeguard Britain&rsquo\;s ancient woodlands thr
 ough youth-led advocacy\, legal innovation\, and public education. Lucy h
 as worked extensively in forest environments&nbsp\;and graduated from the
  OU in 2022 with a BSc Combined STEM\, specialising in environmental scie
