  online lecture\, Dr Stuart Mitchell continues his exploration of propaga
 nda&rsquo\;s development in the dictatorships of twentieth century Europe
 . Concentrating chiefly on the way in which these states depicted their e
 nemies &ndash\; real or imagined &ndash\; the talk will show how the deep
 ening paranoia of communist and fascist regimes was reflected in their pr
 opaganda output and will assess how successful their efforts were.</p>\n\
