The Gary Slapper Memorial Mooting Competition returns for 2026. The competition consists of 3 rounds over 3 days. The first 2 rounds are online and the final is at The Supreme Court of the United Kingdom (UKSC) which includes a complimentary tour of the premises.

The OU in Scotland invites all OU in Scotland students to join us for a Big Blether via video call.

A good blether can help us through a tough time, give us the confidence to overcome a hurdle or just put a smile on our face at the end of a long day.

Our Big Blether events are fantastic opportunities to meet fellow students and have a chat. Join us for fun activities and uplifting conversations! All Scottish students are warmly welcomed.

Sessions will last 60 minutes. You can drop by any time between 18:30 and 19:30 and stay for as long as you can. We’ll be hosting breakout rooms throughout the event to give you a chance to chat with fellow students.

The sessions will be hosted on Adobe Connect – this is the platform that is used for most modules in the OU.

We host a Big Blether every month, and you’re welcome to join us whenever it suits you—whether that’s every time or just now and then!

The Disabled Student Group Committtee are pleased to invite you to their monthly drop-in held on the second Thursday of every month.

It is an informal opportunity to chat with other students about anything and everything, and get help and support from the Committee via signposting on any disability-related issues that affect your studies.
