Central Committee Representatives
The Central Committee Representatives play an important part in Open University Governance structure and decision making. CCRs often make positive contributions at committees to enhance the OU's teaching and learning experience for all current and future students. This group of representatives represent the Student Voice as full members of OU committees. This includes reading papers in advance of each meeting, raising items as and where appropriate and speaking on matters affecting students. Central Committee Representatives are in the position to be able to influence the future direction and quality of their module/qualification/pathway and how the University delivers the higher education experience to its students.
The Central Committee Representative role is to express the view of students and ensure this view is heard by those in a position to effect change. As a full committee member they may be asked to vote on matters affecting students. Central Committee Representatives however are not expected to deal with individual student problems or study related issues.
