The standard we're working towards
Open SU is working towards, and hoping to exceed, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) AA standard.
We recommend a free-of charge resource called "My Computer My Way" from AbilityNet for information about using assistive digital technology.

Digital Inclusion
Ensuring everyone has the same opportunities to complete their studies is vital, and for reasons such as financial barriers we can often become digitally excluded, meaning we don’t have the access to the digital technology or internet needed for our work.
This video from the OU promotes digital inclusion, providing valuable tips and resources to anyone who needs support with accessing the devices they need, or perhaps if you’re simply unsure what kind of allowances you may be entitled to for support.
This video (and the resources document below) was produced by The Open University in 2024, when we were previously called the OU Students Association.
