The Open University in Scotland warmly invites all new students based in Scotland who are starting modules in October 2026 to join our Welcome Events.
These sessions are designed to welcome you to the OU in Scotland community and help you prepare for study. You'll hear from OU staff, gain practical tips to help you begin your studies with confidence, and learn about the support available throughout your journey.
You'll have the opportunity to ask questions in a friendly and supportive environment and meet other new students who are starting their studies at the OU.
We offer 11 sessions for you to choose from – you only need to attend one:
- Friday, 21 August: 9:30am–10:30am
- Thursday, 3 September: 7pm–8pm
- Saturday, 5 September: 10am–11am
- Monday, 7 September: 12 noon – 1pm
- Wednesday, 9 September: 2pm–3pm
- Tuesday, 15 September: 7pm–8pm
- Thursday, 17 September: 9:30am–10:30am
- Tuesday, 22 September: 4pm–5pm
- Friday, 25 September: 9:30am–10:30am
- Tuesday, 29 September: 7pm–8pm
- Thursday, 8 October: 4pm–5pm
