Timeline for the elections: on 6 March Nominations Open. on 20 March Nominations Close. on 23 March Voting Opens. on 31 March Voting Closes (noon) . on 31 March we Announce Results (PM). in April  Induction of the new Committee begins.

Student-led Support Groups are run by Open University students elected for two-year terms, and supported by the OU Students Association. The Groups are here to offer support and advice to underrepresented and minoritised student communities, as well as campaign to the OU on topics which are important to you. Being on the Committee is a great way to gain transferable skills and to make friends.

Every single Group member can nominate themselves in the Group Committee elections, and all get to have a say in who represents them during the voting period.

 

What do you need to do to nominate yourself?

Head to our Candidate Zone to learn more about the roles, nomination process, elections rules and the support offered to you by the Association.

 

What do you need to do to vote?

If you are already a member of the relevant Group, just sit back and wait for our email to prompt you to vote  when voting opens on 20 March.

 

Not a member yet?

No problem. Head to the OU Pride registration form or the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Group registration form  to officially register and to get involved with the elections. During the elections, we will make sure that member registrations are processed daily and that you recieve the voting email as soon as possible after joining.
