Student Led Groups Lead

 

Student Led Groups Lead

Student Led Group Leads are the main point of contact for their student group. They organise and host events, encourage students to connect with one another, and help create a welcoming, inclusive community where students can share interests, experiences and support.

Eligibility: This opportunity is open to all students that are currently registered and studying (members of the Open SU).

Location: This role can be completed online. All you need is access to the internet to carry out this role, allowing you to volunteer anywhere. Some Group Leaders choose to host events in person. 

Role Tasks

  • Approximately 1–4 hours per week, with flexibility depending on your group's activities and events.

Role Training

  • Core volunteer training covering GDPR, PREVENT and Safeguarding.
  • A full Welcome and introduction session from the Open SU.
  • Ongoing support and relevant training throughout your time in the role.
