Our Annual Membership Survey is now open. This is your chance to say what you think about us, so we can improve our support for you.
Every OU student is automatically a member of Open SU, and will be sent out an email with a link to the survey. Please keep an eye on your inbox over the next few days for the chance to take part.
You've got until 12 noon on Tuesday, 30 June to submit your response.
Share your views and win a prize
Taking part in the survey will give you the chance to enter a prize draw. The top prize is a £400 Love2Shop voucher, with five runners-up prizes of £20 Love2Shop vouchers. When you fill out the survey, please agree to the prize draw terms and conditions and select that you'd like to enter the prize draw.
Actions we've already taken
In our last survey in 2024, you spoke and we listened. You identified areas important to you, such as support for students from underrepresented backgrounds, and sustainability priorities (particularly litter picking and responsible purchasing). As a result, we've taken some important actions:
- Building an Allyship Hub on our website for staff and students to learn all about how to support those around them (60% of our respondents in 2024 expressed a desire to explore and use such a hub).
- Prioritising sustainability in planning events
- Student Leaders have organised community clean-ups
- Focusing on raising awareness of the support available to OU students. (Students can now discover our Support Groups and take part in nation‑centred discussions through OU Students Connect, making it easier to engage with communities that matter to them.)
