The OU Students Association is delighted to announce permanent appointments in both the Chief Executive Officer and Chair of Trustees roles.
Beth Metcalf has been appointed as the permanent Chief Executive Officer, having carried out the role in an interim capacity since June 2022. Beth went through an interview process and the appointment was ratified by the Board of Trustees on 31 January 2023.
Mark Price has been acting as the interim Chair of the Board of Trustees since May 2022, and will now take on the role permanently, having been on the Association Board since 2020. He was voted in as Chair at the most recent Board meeting on 31 January 2023.
Students Association President, Margaret Greenaway, said: “It’s fantastic that we have now filled these two positions with incredibly capable people who have demonstrated their commitment to our culture and values.
“Now that we have these roles permanently filled we have the certainty and stability that we need to get on with improving the OU student experience.”
