The OU Students Association works with student-led Support Groups that are great spaces for community building and increasing representation of minoritised student populations. You can learn more about the three currently existing Groups on the Groups' webpage.

Two of our Support Groups, OU Pride and the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Group, are calling elections to form their new Committees. The Committees consist of student volunteers in the following roles:

  • Chair
  • Vice-Chair
  • Secretary
  • Communications Officer
  • Events Officer

You can nominate yourself for these roles until the 20 March, providing you are an OU Student, a member of the Association (students are automatically registered with us when they become an OU student) and a member of the relevant Group.

You can also get involved by voting between 23 and 31 March. Make sure you are a registered member of the Group (register for OU Pride, register for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Group) to receive an email with voting instructions.

To find out more about the elections such as role descriptions, elections timeline, FAQs and support we offer you as a candidate, visit our Group elections website or come to one of our online candidate drop-in sessions.
