Can you give some information about your role?
I want to support disabled students to ensure they get the support that is needed to give them the best chance of success.
What made you want to be part of our Student Leadership Team?
I want to be able to make the experience of all of our disabled students easier. I want to support our students and help them on their journey to achieve their degrees.
What are you hoping to achieve in the 2026–2028 term?
I want to be able to bring in things to make the barriers that people have easier to overcome, and to support OU disabled students to have the confidence to advocate for themselves for what they need to succeed.
Tell us some fun facts about yourself!
- I enjoy knitting and embroidery.
- I'm a Psychology student who genuinely wants to make things better for people.
And finally – what do you love about the OU?
I love that with the OU, there is a different way of learning that has given me confidence in my ability to achieve my degree. I've also learned that I am smart enough to achieve. I have also gained a new support network that will have my back when I don't even know I need it. I have made lifelong friendships with people that I'll always be grateful to have in my life.
