Terms and Conditions Student Summit Prize Draw 2026

This promotion offers entrants the chance to win up to two* of the following prizes by entering the Open SU Student Summit competition:

  • £500 voucher (one available)
  • £250 voucher (two available)
  • £100 voucher (five available)
  • Open SU Shop bundle: bottle, notepad, tote bag, hoodie, owl (ten available)

Vouchers can be redeemed for an ethical and/or sustainable brand of the winner's choice, subject to approval by Open SU. Including: National Trust voucher or membership, World of Books, Ethical Superstore, Charity Shop, She Grows Veg, Kip Hideaways etc.

There are multiple entry points into the competition and entering at multiple points increases the entrant's chance of winning a prize/prizes:

  • Voting: Students will automatically be entered into the competition when they vote (current OU students will be emailed a unique link inviting them to vote). Voting is open from 30 October until 13 November. If you have not received your invitation to vote, email oustudents-conference@open.ac.uk
  • Registering: At the end of the registration form, entrants can tick a box to enter the competition.
  • Attendance: There will be a feedback form for entrants to complete for each session they attend. Within this form, entrants can tick a box to enter the competition.
  • Student Summit Feedback Form: at the end of the Student Summit feedback form shared after the event, entrants can tick a box to enter the competition.

For example, if an entrant votes, registers, attends five sessions and completes the Student Summit Feedback Form, this represents eight entries to the competition. The winners will be chosen randomly using a random number generator.

*Please note: entrants are eligible to win either one voucher, one Open SU Shop bundle or one voucher and one Open SU Shop bundle. Entrants are not eligible to win more than one voucher or more than one Open SU Shop bundle.

Competition opens Friday, 30 October and closes Sunday, 13 December at 23:45.

The winners will be informed by email (and may be announced on the Open SU website and social media channels) by Friday, 18 December.

The Promoter is the Open University Student Union.

This promotion is not available to students who are employees of the Open University and its subsidiaries including Associate Lecturers. Employees of Open SU, their families and agents are excluded from winning this prize.

If you have any queries, please email oustudents-conference@open.ac.uk.

Please note that if the winner’s delivery address is outside of the UK, the winner may need to pay customs duties, import tax and/or handling fees to receive the item. Any fee(s) will vary between countries. By entering this competition, the winner agrees to pay the fee(s) if applicable.

The Promoter reserves the right to award a different prize of similar value: for example, if the advertised prize is no longer available to purchase. No cash alternative shall be offered.

The Promoter reserves the right to reject those entries which it considers, in its absolute discretion, do not comply with these T&Cs or are fraudulent.

By submitting an entry, entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these T&Cs.

The promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into for non-winning entries.

The promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered or associated with Microsoft.

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted, lost, damaged, delayed or fail to reach it during the term of the Promotion. The Promoter accepts no liability for entrants’ failure to gain access to this Promotion due to technical difficulties.

The Promoter reserves the right to extend or withdraw the promotion at any time due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

The Promoter shall not be liable for any interruption to the promotion due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

The Promoter reserves the right, acting reasonably and in accordance with all relevant legislation and codes of practice, to vary these terms and conditions at any time.

Any personal data is collected for the purposes of this promotion only, and will be processed in accordance with the provisions of the Promoter’s privacy policy, which is available at https://www.oustudents.com/privacy-policy.
