What does this role involve?
The Board of Trustees are responsible for the running of the Association's affairs, and for ensuring the Association is compliant with the financial and legal obligations it has as an organisation.
What have you studied / are studying at the OU?
BSc (Hons) Physics.
Why have you decided to volunteer?
I initially started volunteering with the Association in October 2023. I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to stick around and learn more about how the Association works and everything that goes into making sure the student voice is heard.
What is your previous volunteering experience with the Association?
I was fortunate enough to be co-opted in as VP Student Representation for 2023–24. It was a great experience, I learned so much and met some amazing people.
What's the summary of what you want to do in your role?
I would like to use my experience and skills, along with my perspective as a student, to inform decision-making that helps the Association to keep doing their day-to-day work of ensuring the student voice is heard.
What are your other interests (away from OU life)?
I am a big gamer – it is what I do the most! I also love reading and watching TV / movies (especially the horror genre). I am terrible for picking up other hobbies, such as diamond painting and crochet.
