Area Representatives Area Representatives have the primary responsibility of representing the views of students living in the area or Nation they cover.
Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Representative The Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Student Representative has the responsibility for representing the views of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic students within Open SU.
Deputy President The Deputy President is a full-time, paid role on the Student Leadership Team (SLT).
Disabled Students Representative The Disabled Student Representative has the responsibility for representing the views of disabled students at the OU at all levels of decision making within Open SU.
Faculty Representatives Faculty Representatives are part of the Student Leadership Team (SLT). You’ll make sure students in your faculty have a strong voice and a great study experience.
LGBTQIA+ Representative The LGBTQIA+ Student Representative has the responsibility for representing the views of LGBTQIA+ students at the OU at all levels of decision-making within the Open SU.
President The President is a full-time, paid role, leading the Student Leadership Team (SLT).
Student Trustee The Student Trustee supports the effective governance, sustainability, and strategic direction of Open SU as a registered charity.
Sustainability Representative The Sustainability Representative has the responsibility for overseeing Open SU’s work in relation to sustainability and acting as student representative for sustainability related matters within the University.
Vice President Belonging and Opportunities The Vice President (VP) Belonging and Opportunities is responsible for encouraging and enabling a vibrant and supportive student community.
Vice President Equity, Diversity and Inclusion The Vice President (VP) Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) has the responsibility within the Student Leadership Team (SLT) for advocating that Open SU fulfils its commitments to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in accordance with relevant legislation and policy.
Vice President Finance and Membership VP Finance and Membership is an officer role which is part of the Student Leadership Team. This role focuses on Open SU as a membership organisation, ensuring student views are embedded into decision making at all levels.
