Laughter for health on Zoom

Laughter boosts happy hormones which reduce stress and depression. It also relieves pain, strengthens the immune system, boosts creativity, reduces inhibitions and much more.

You don’t need any experience or equipment, and there are no Downward Dogs or other yoga poses. We do simple playful exercises and laugh together. The ‘yoga’ part is breathing, and maybe a short meditation at the end.

Laughter is contagious, just like yawning. We have our cameras and mics on so we can see and hear each other, and the laughter grows. It is a safe space, there’s no comedy or no jokes and we never laugh at each other.

Please bear in mind that laughter is cardio-vascular exercise – sometimes referred to as ‘internal jogging’. Take appropriate care if you have any health conditions where that could be an issue. You may want to seek medical advice, or simply start slowly and gently, see how you get on.

Note: I do record the session for security purposes in case of gate-crashers. It’s not

uploaded anywhere, and I delete it after the session.
