Overview

Join the OU Students Association and the OU in Wales as we host an in-person meet-up as part of February Freshers 2023. Meet with your peers at the OU in Wales office in Cardiff whilst finding out more about the OU Students Association and the OU in Wales. There will be opportunities to mingle with other students, find out more about the OU and get ready for your studies.

Note that the OU in Wales is also running online welcome events which you can sign up for. This event is different from those, and is led by the Students Association, focusing on building connections, making your university experience more than just your course, and getting you off to best start!

Due to venue capacity limits, this event will be ticketed, with tickets given on a first-come-first-served basis until we reach our limit.

As per changes in requirements and office behaviours, mask wearing is not expected, but feel free to personally do so if you feel more comfortable. The venue is in the city centre, on the ground floor and accessible.

If you have any questions about this event, please email us on wales-events@open.ac.uk.

We also know that many of our students will not be located close to Cardiff city centre so won’t be able to attend. We are very eager to start reaching more of our students across Wales, so if you are interested in face-to-face meetups but don’t live in South Wales, please get in touch with the Students Association as we’d love to hear from you!

We look forward to seeing you there!
