Join LRAC, the Arts and Humanities Society for a tour at The British Museum.
Greek art developed with great speed and produced rapidly changing images during the 6th and 5th centuries. Myth was a common theme and this visit will start to explore the range and complexities using the British Museum’s rich collection, focusing in particular at Greek vases.
The British Museum is located on Great Russell Street, London WC1B 3DG with the nearest tube stations being Holborn and Tottenham Court Road. For more details about the Museum collections and how to get there see: https://www.britishmuseum.org/visit.
This tour will be of general interest to anyone with a love of art, artefacts and the ancient world but it will be especially helpful if you are studying A350 'Greek and Roman myth: stories and histories' at the Open University.
Entrance to the British Museum galleries visited during this tour are free to everyone - so why not make a day of it!
