  • International Students Hub

International Students Hub

This hub brings together key information and support to help international students navigate their studies, connect with others, and make the most of their student experience.

Studying with The Open University from anywhere in the world means you’re part of a diverse and global student community. International students have told us they have found it difficult to find information specifically for them. This hub therefore brings together key information and support to help you navigate your studies, connect with others, and make the most of your student experience.

Here you’ll find guidance on how to get started, student community, study skills, support, careers and employability, and student voice. These contain OU and Open SU links that will be most relevant to international students.

  • Getting started A drawing of a person on a tablet screen (on a red and claret design). These resources should help you to get started as a new OU student.
  • Community A drawing of two speech bubbles in white (on a red and claret design). There is a welcoming online international students community. Browse the links here to see what is available.
  • Study skills A drawing of an open book (on a red and claret design). Discover how you can develop study skills, including academic writing, and how to find resources at the OU Library.
  • Support A drawing of a heart (on a red and claret design). This is the place to see the many support and advice options available to OU students (including international students).
  • Careers and employability A side-on drawing of a rocket (on a red and claret design). Take a look here to find (among other things) current vacancies abroad, job opportunity tips, and to book a careers appointment with the OU.
  • Student voice A drawing of a loud speaker (on a red and claret design). The student voice is a way for students to express their thoughts, views and opinions about their educational journey to both Open SU and The Open University.
