Association Micro-Volunteer Training Welcome to the Open University Students Association Volunteer Zone, and welcome as one our valued volunteers! This section is specifically for our micro-volunteers and contains all of the information and resources you will need to carry out your role. If you have any queries which are not answered on this page, please contact a member of the Volunteering and Representation Team.
Before you can start accessing opportunities, you will need to complete two mandatory training sessions. The first session is an introduction to the OU Students Association, whilst the second is an induction to your role as a micro-volunteer. You may either join the sessions live session via Microsoft Teams, or watch a recording in your own time.
Micro-Volunteer Live Training
There are two mandatory training sessions which you must complete before you can start taking up volunteer opportunities. For flexibility, each session will be held twice and you can chooose which one you attend. If you are unable to attend the live sessions, a recording will be uploaded to the Volunteer Zone for you to watch in your own time.

If you DID NOT attend BOTH live training sessions, please take this short quiz to demonstrate that you have watched the recorded sessions
If you attended both live sessions, you do not need to complete a quiz and should have been added to the Slack space already. If this is not the case, please contact the Volunteering and Representation Team
