The event takes place tomorrow (Saturday, 11 July) at the OU campus in Milton Keynes. The event will begin at 10am. Please arrive from 9:50am and meet us outside the main entrance to the Open University Library (Betty Boothroyd Building).

This event is for Black and Black mixed heritage OU students who would like to connect across faculties, hear from inspiring speakers, and take part in a guided campus tour. It is an opportunity to come together, build meaningful connections, and share the experience.
We recognise that events designed for specific student communities can sometimes raise questions. This initiative forms part of the University’s ongoing work to achieve more equitable outcomes for all students. This initiative is a response to evidence that Black students report lower sense of belonging than other OU students. The OU Black Student Networks Campus Event provides a supportive space for Black and Black mixed heritage students to build connection, alongside wider inclusive opportunities for all students, ensuring underrepresented voices are better supported, valued, and heard fully.
