International Photography Competition

International Photography Competition
The image shows a graphic of the earth and the text reads: International OU Students

Calling all international students! As promised, we have a competition for you. If you are into your photography and love the place you live, then this is the competition for you.

Introducing the International Photography Competition!

Simply take a picture of where you read your newsletter, “your reading nook" if you will, and either send it to the community mailbox at oustudents-community@open.ac.uk, post it in the comments of the photo competition post on our Facebook page or post on our Twitter page.

This is a great opportunity to show off your photography skills but also a chance to share images of your favourite reading place and perhaps connect with students who are local to you. Feel free to mention where the photo is taken!

This competition is being run by the Students Association International Area Rep, Kate Wells, who will be judging the entries. There will be five winners: one overall winner and four runners up to represent each area (Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa and Australia).

The competition launches on 11 May 2022 and closes at 11pm (BST) on 25 May 2022.

If you enter, you’ll have the chance to win an OU Students Association zoodie and runners up will receive a notebook from the shop!

Announcements of the winners will be on 27 May 2022.

For those who are struggling to think of what to take a picture of or want a bit more guidance, here is Kate’s reading nook:
The image shows an outdoor table and chairs set on a balcony.
Take as many different pictures as you want until you’re happy with one of them, then simply submit your entry.

So get inspired, get out there and take those photos! Good luck everyone!

Please see full terms and conditions before entering.
