For the first time, we’re partnering with the OU to offer three £500 grants supporting student-led projects that create a positive environmental, social, or economic sustainability impact!
So, if you’ve got an idea that you need help getting off the ground, check out the opportunity here and keep reading to see how you can get involved...
Any OU student can apply for this funding and use it for a sustainability project of their choice. Choices for projects are huge, we are asking students to link their project ideas to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), so if you’re interested but have no idea what project to propose, look at the SDGs to inspire you!
Your project proposal will also need to fit into one of our three categories:
-
Environmental sustainability
-
Social sustainability
-
Economic sustainability
You can find a description and examples for these categories in the opportunity details.
The successful students will start their projects around June this year and have two years to spend the £500 to make their project happen. Students will also become an Open SU volunteer and have opportunities to connect with staff and students across the OU and, if possible for the chosen project, get advice from relevant OU colleagues.
This is such an exciting opportunity to receive a grant to make your project idea happen, and to make a difference in an area of sustainability that you really care about.
Closing date: Friday, 27 March
