LGBTQIA+ students
 

Two in five LGBT students (42%) have hidden their identity at university for fear of discrimination.

Trans community
 

Half of trans students (50%) and almost half of non-binary students (49%) have considered withdrawing from university – most commonly because of mental health issues.

Black community and mental health in university
 

Black students with a declared mental health condition are more likely to drop out of university in the UK, with only 77% continuing their studies after their first year, compared with 87% of all students with a declared mental health condition

Around 65% of Disabled students say they have more than one impairment underlining the message that one size does not fit all and that tailored support is required.
