This promotion offers entrants the chance to win one of a number of prizes from the OU Students Association. The Promoter is the Open University Students Association.
Open University student promotion only. Open to current students who can provide a valid, current personal identifier number for The Open University. This promotion is not available to Honorary Life Members, those with extended memberships, external trustees, OU Students Educational Trust trustees or students who are employees of the Open University and its subsidiaries including Associate Lecturers. Employees of the OU Students Association, their families and agents are excluded from winning this prize.

In order to take part in this free prize draw, entrants must fulfil the following to win one of the listed prizes in each category:

- Vote on the OU Students Conference resolutions between 17/05/2024 and 07/06/2024 to enter the prize draw to win one prize out of: two tablets; four TOTUM cards or four bundles of OU Students merchandise including a hoodie, notebook and pin. oustudents.com/about-us/how-we-are-run/conference/voting/
- Register for Conference before 31/05/2024 to enter the prize draw to win one prize out of: eight OU Students Association hoodies. 250 trees will be planted via One Tree Planted for the first 250 registrations to Conference. oustudents.com/about-us/how-we-are-run/conference/voting/
- Register for Conference between 31/05/2024 and 13/06/2024 to enter the prize draw to win one prize out of: eight copies of of Susan Cain’s book, ‘Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking’, eight copies of Chris Packham’s ‘Fingers in the Sparkle Jar: A Memoir’ or one Kindle. oustudents.com/about-us/how-we-are-run/conference/voting/
- Attend a Conference session (one entry per session attended) to enter the prize draw to win one prize out of: two tablets, one Kindle, seven TOTUM cards, five copies of Susan Cain’s book, ‘Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking’, five copies of Chris Packham’s ‘Fingers in the Sparkle Jar: A Memoir’ or 100 exclusive Conference-branded stationery bundles. The winner of the quiz will also win a Conference-branded stationery bundle. Students will have to have attended at least half of the session.
- Complete our Conference survey (you will be emailed a link to the survey after Conference has taken place) to enter the prize draw to win one prize out of: one Kindle.
A valid email address, delivery address and Personal Identifier (PI) number must be provided.
The promotion ends on 15/07/2024 and winners will be selected. The winners will be chosen randomly. The winners will be informed by email.
E-mail addresses will be permanently deleted once the prize draw is completed, with the exception of the winners' e-mail addresses which are retained for no more than 6 months from the survey closing date. Prize winners may be contacted within this time and be invited to take part in further promotional activity.
Prize winners' first names and faculty could be published in our newsletter and social spaces. If you do not wish to have your name published, please contact oustudents-conference@open.ac.uk
The winners will win one of the above prizes from the OU Students Association. The winners will be notified via email within a month of the prize draw closing. Following the offer, the Promoter will organise the prizes to be sent to the winners' chosen delivery addresses. The name and address of the winner may be entered into the relevant website to order the prize to the winner’s address.
Please note that if the winner’s delivery address is outside of the UK, the winner may need to pay customs duties, import tax and/or handling fees to receive the item. Any fee(s) will vary between countries. By entering this competition, the winner agrees to pay the fee(s) if applicable. The Promoter shall not be liable for any interruption to the promotion due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control. The Promoter shall not be liable for any lost or damaged post.
The Promoter reserves the right to award a different prize of similar value, for example if the advertised prize is no longer available to purchase or if it is not deliverable to the winner’s delivery address. No cash alternative shall be offered.
The Promoter reserves the right to reject those entries which it considers, in its absolute discretion, do not comply with these terms and conditions or are fraudulent.
By submitting an entry, entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into for non-winning entries.
The promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered or associated with Microsoft or Microsoft Forms.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted, lost, damaged, delayed or fail to reach it during the term of the Promotion. The Promoter accepts no liability for entrants’ failure to gain access to this Promotion due to technical difficulties.
