This promotion offers entrants the chance to win a variety of prizes in three competitions across Welcome Week.
Competition 1: Scavenger hunt
Clues will be left around the Welcome Week microsite to determine a code that enters students into the prize draw. Clues will be released by student leaders in videos announcing key speakers/events ahead of the competition opening. Students will submit a Microsoft form to enter, and they must choose the correct code in the form to be entered into the prize draw, 10 winners will be randomly selected from the people who found the correct code.
Competition closes Monday 6 October.
Winners will be informed by Friday 31 October.

Competition 2: Passport bingo
Students collect words/phrases from sessions they attend during Welcome Week to enter a prize draw. There will be 10 phrases in total to collect and they will be posted in the chat box of various Welcome Week sessions.
Entrants must have attended at least one of the key Passport Bingo sessions to enter.
To take part in this free prize draw, entrants must submit at least one and up to five of the secret words or phrases revealed in the key Passport Bingo sessions:

One secret word or phrase will be revealed in each of the sessions. For each session you attend, and each secret word or phrase you note down, this will equal one entry to the prize draw. If you attend all sessions and submit all five secret words or phrases, you will have five entries to the prize draw. If you attend one session and send us one secret word or phrase, you will have one entry to the prize draw.
To enter the prize draw, you must submit the secret word(s) or phrase(s) via this online form which opens at midnight on Saturday 27 September. Please submit one form per entry. If you cannot access the form, please email your entry to oustudents-projects@open.ac.uk.
The promotion ends on 06/10/2025 and the winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator. The winner will be informed by email (and may be announced on the Open SU website and social media channels) by Friday 31 October.

Competition 3: Best comments
Prizes will be randomly given to our favourite comments/introductions from students on social media and OU Student Connect.
Competition closes Monday 6 October.
Open during Welcome Week, students will be messaged on social media or OU Student Connect to let them know they have won by Friday 31 October.

The Promoter is the Open University Student Union.
Open University student promotion only. Open to current students who can provide a valid, current personal identifier number for The Open University, or who are extended members of Open SU or who are Honorary Life Members. This promotion is not available to students who are employees of the Open University and its subsidiaries including Associate Lecturers. Employees of Open SU, their families and agents are excluded from winning this prize.

The competitions are open during Welcome Week: Saturday 27 September to Sunday 5 October 2025.
The winner will need to provide their OU Personal Identifier in order to verify their OU student status. After verification is complete, the Promoter will order the prize to be sent to the winner’s chosen delivery address.
Please note that if the winner’s delivery address is outside of the UK, the winner may need to pay customs duties, import tax and/or handling fees to receive the item. Any fee(s) will vary between countries. By entering this competition, the winner agrees to pay the fee(s) if applicable.
The Promoter reserves the right to award a different prize of similar value, for example, if the advertised prize is no longer available to purchase. No cash alternative shall be offered.
The Promoter reserves the right to reject those entries which it considers, in its absolute discretion, do not comply with these T&C’s or are fraudulent.
By submitting an entry, entrants will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these T&C’s.
