Wales Student Panel Member - Aelod o Banel Myfyrwyr Cymru

01 Apr 2026 - 31 Mar 2027

Closing date for applications is 30 Mar.

Click here to login to our website / register for a website account in order to apply for this opportunity.
The Open SU Wales Student Panel aims to bring together a diverse group of students from across Wales to inform, guide, and enrich the work of the Open SU Wales Representative. Acting as a dynamic consultative body, the panel ensures that the wide-ranging experiences and perspectives of students living and studying in Wales are heard. It provides valuable insight into issues affecting Welsh students and serves as a vital channel through which both Open SU and the Open University in Wales can seek meaningful feedback on topics relevant to the student experience, ensuring that student voices remain at the heart of outcomes that matter.

Open SU Wales Student Panel members will come together once a quarter to discuss issues and topics affecting students living and studying within Wales. Taking a collaborative and constructive approach to discussions, they will explore the barriers facing OU students in Wales, bringing items for discussions and contributing to the feedback mechanisms of Open SU and the Open University in Wales.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. You must be living in Wales.

You must be registered as living at an address in Wales. Four spaces on the panel are based on the geographical location of the volunteers, with a space in each region (North Wales, Mid-Wales, South-West Wales and South-East Wales).

  1. You must be an active OU Student.

This means that you are currently studying an OU module of at least 30 credits (or an Access or Post-Graduate Research Student) or have completed a module and are registered for your next module.

  1. Academic progress

To support your academic success, we will not consider applications from students who have failed or not completed their three most recently started modules at the time of application. This is to help you prioritise your studies and maintain positive academic progress.

Decisions on eligibility will be made by the Student Voice Team at the time of application.
