This online, short term role is ideal for all students interested in generating new ideas, would like to gain experience of working collaboratively and meeting and getting to know others in your student community.

We are seeking five student volunteers to take part in the planning of our 2026 Conference.
Conference happens every two years, and this year the main event takes place in November 2026, with other Conference activities happening before this. Conference is important, combining the formal business of Open SU as well as other informal discussions, interesting events and debates, and will take considerable planning. The five student members of the Committee will work with elected student leadership team and Open SU staff in helping to guide Conference.
Commitment
Around 1 hour each week (online) with some additional flexibility leading up to the Conference needed due to related events and key milstones. Volunteers will need to read and comment in Microsoft Teams spaces, input into discussions and comment on project ideas and developments. One or two meetings may be required, with times to be agreed by attendees, most likely to be held on weekday evenings.
Location
This role can be carried out online, so this role can be fulfilled anywhere as long as you have an internet connection and can join Microsoft Teams spaces and meetings.
Eligibility
This opportunity is open to all OU students that are currently registered members of Open SU. Elected members of the current Student Leadership Team (SLT), Honorary Life Members (HLMs) and alumni are not eligible to apply.
