Conference 2026 ideas

Please submit or vote for any changes you'd like Open SU to make, which will be considered in preparation for our 2026 Conference.

Please share any ideas for improving Open SU, introducing something new, changing an existing process, or reviewing a service. You can also propose policies, campaigns, or highlight student issues that you'd like Open SU to take forward and advocate for.
These ideas may be developed into a Conference Resolution – a formal proposal that students can debate and vote on at Conference. You can take a look at the resolutions that went to our 2024 Conference here.

James Daly: 8:11pm on 20 Aug 26 I think this would be better phrased as Graduation Streaming rather than Online Graduations, as Online Graduations makes it seem separate or in place of standard graduations (I know you clarified it's in addition to, but just for posterity). I think streaming them would be great for both graduates who may find it hard to attend, or may not want to attend in person, but also for the extended family of graduates who are attending, so they can watch along in their momentous occasion without worrying about the physical ticket limits/prices. This is something I think should be advocated for and is something that even with a small charge to cover costs of set up and data would be popular amongst students, a trail session could maybe set up first to see how students respond and how easy it is to put into motion.
