    Turnitin on TMA/EMA submission page

The OU needs to include a way of checking TMA/EMA similarity on the assignment submission page. This would help ensure that everyone who needs to use it, can access it without having to search through the many pages of the OU website. Although some modules include this within the "assessment" section, it is possible to submit assignments directly from the StudentHome section. This may mean that some students are not familiar with where this facility is, or may miss checking their assignments. It also reduces 'faff' when folks are stressed out, trying to make sure they have done everything that they need to when rushing to meet deadlines. I am aware that some students prefer not to use Turnitin, but it can be a very helpful resource to give students peace of mind. It is also an important resource in reducing plagiarism and highlighting where AI may have been used / is highly similar. There should also be the option that tutors can switch it off should they expect assignments with high similarity (e.g., multiple choice or short-form answers). With this, there is also the option to either make Turnitin use mandatory or to keep it as voluntary - but the benefits and limitations of this may warrant further discussion.
