About Dr Poppy Gibson
Dr Poppy Gibson is an academic with ADHD, and an advocate for fostering neuro-affirming spaces in education. After over a decade teaching and leading in London primary schools, Poppy now lecturers in education at the Open University, supporting adult learners on their journeys. Poppy's research centres on wellbeing and mental health in education, with a focus on supporting neurodivergent learners and educators. Poppy is also a parent to three children, two biological and one adopted, and is passionate about raising awareness of how to support children in recognising their strengths rather than seeing neurodivergence as a deficit to be overcome.
