Kirsty Lowe

What does Equality, Diversity and Inclusion mean to you?

Equality and Diversity and Inclusion means to me is that , we aim for all students to achieve Equality, Diversity and Inclusion no matter who they are and where they come from.

Why would you like to stand as Chair of the Disabled Students Group?

The reason I would like to stand for Chair of the Disabled  Students Group, is  I have always been interested in Equality. As in the 21st century all people should be able to achieve their potential to make our Country a better place to live in for all. I have been in the Union Usdaw and I was in the Big Reps with Marks and Spencer I went to a lot of meetings I was in the Equality group with the Union and I won the 2017 Equality Award for Scottish and National.

What skills and experiences would you bring to the committee of this group?

I like to be a problem solver and I can talk to all people no matter who they are, I solved a few issues for my colleagues in M&S. I am easy to talk to so student's should have no problem talking to me as well. I here all sides of all arguments and troubles students may have. I feel I could help to improve our committee and group , as I have a lot of empathy.
