Dear Open University Students,
As we approach the end of 2023, we find ourselves reflecting on the incredible journey we've embarked on during the past year. Everyone at the Students Association is immensely proud of each one of you for your dedication, hard work, and perseverance throughout your studies, and we will continue to champion, support and celebrate as you reach milestones and conquer new challenges during your time at the OU.
This year saw the introduction of a brand-new four-year strategy for the Association focused on making a positive difference for all OU students by empowering, nurturing and enhancing the student voice and Association services. We hope you will join us on our refreshed mission to positively impact OU students and ensure students are at the heart of change across the Association, university and beyond!
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the student volunteers who have poured their time, energy, and passion into their roles at every opportunity. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed, and we are grateful for the positive impact you've had on the lives of your fellow students.
Looking ahead to 2024, let's embrace the opportunities and adventures that a new year brings. The Association’s bi-yearly conference returns along with many other new opportunities to get involved with so make sure to check in for updates in the new year!
Together, we will continue to build a community that thrives on shared experiences, mutual support, and positively impacting the journey of current and future students for many years to come.May your winter break be filled with laughter, good company, and moments of peace. We hope you take this time to rest, rejuvenate, and surround yourself with warmth and joy. It's well-deserved, and we encourage you to reflect on your achievements, big and small, during 2023.
