Change of staff leadership team

I am writing as Chair of Trustees to update our membership on a change of Leadership within the Association Staff team. 

I am delighted to announce that Beth Metcalf, currently Director of Membership Services, has been appointed by the Board of Trustees as interim Chief Executive for at least the next six months. She will be supported by Dan Moloney, currently Director of Engagement. 

Rob Avann, outgoing Chief Executive, will be officially handing over to Beth as of Friday, 17 June 2022, when he will then provide consultancy advice and support to Beth and Dan for the remainder of his notice period to 13 July 2022. Beth will be Chief Executive effective immediately upon Rob’s departure. 

I wish to congratulate Beth on her appointment and thank Rob for his assistance and co-operation over the coming weeks as well as for his commitment and passion over the past 10 years with the Association. Rob has been an absolute rock at the Association, supported five different Association Presidents with a range of major changes to support OU students and improve the Association and has been an inspirational line manager to the staff team.
